Term Dates
Please visit the Durham County Council website to view or download the school holidays dates for this academic year and next year for all community schools, special schools and voluntary controlled schools. Please note that voluntary aided (church) schools, foundation schools and academies may have set different dates and you should check with the school or academy to confirm their arrangements.
Leave of Absence During Term Time
The Department for Education have amended the school attendance regulations and Headteachers may NOT grant any leave of absence during term-time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Please read the letter and information sheet attached to the request form with frequently asked questions below before you make an application. All persons who hold parental responsibility for the child must complete the leave of absence request. School will write to those known to have parental responsibility when notifying of the outcome of this request. Please contact the school if you wish to discuss this with the Headteacher.
